In April 2020, the second iteration of the NIDA-funded NDEWS was awarded to our team at the University of Florida, New York University, and Florida Atlantic University. We published our first ever NDEWS Weekly Briefing on August 28, 2020.
Since then the reach and impact of NDEWS has grown to:
5,000+ Subscribers receive the NDEWS Weekly Briefing, which is sent every Friday at 9 AM ET
90+ Web Monitoring Team alerts published. These alerts highlight the online monitoring platform for early detection of NPS via Reddit data, developed in collaboration with the Machine Perception and Cognitive Robotics (MPCR) Lab at FAU.
80+ biospatial reports reports published. These reports are created using real time EMS encounter data in response to overdoses across the US


30+ Peer-reviewed publications published by the NDEWS Coordinating Center team
6,000+ Participants enrolled across 24 Rapid Street Reporting (RSR) data collection trips to date
