Join us for an overview of how the National Drug Early Warning System serves as a resource for states and how to get involved. This webinar will feature recent seizure data and emerging substances of abuse, highlighting emerging substances in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area and Texas (and why that matters) as examples, along with how NDEWS can be helpful for state Controlled Substance Authorities.
The expert panel of speakers will include members of the NDEWS Coordinating Center, Dr. Linda B. Cottler (Professor of Epidemiology, University of Florida, MPI-NDEWS) and Dr. Joseph J. Palamar (Professor, New York University Langone Health, MPI-NDEWS). Along with members of the NDEWS Early Warning Network including Matthew Myers (Assistant Chief of Police, Peachtree City Police Department; NDEWS Atlanta, GA Sentinel Site Director) and Dr. Dayong Lee (Senior Manager and Chief Toxicologist for Houston Forensic Science Center; NDEWS Texas Sentinel Site Director)
We encourage you to share this invite with your greater network of colleagues, collaborators, community members, and others who could benefit from attending by learning more about NDEWS and how to collaborate with our team.
